Our Wednesday Night Trail Series offers a fun, low-pressure way to get some miles in midweek. Held in Staten Island, this 4-5 mile trail run takes you through scenic routes, with the entire course clearly marked to ensure a smooth and easy experience. It’s an informal and relaxed group run, welcoming runners of all levels. Whether you’re looking to unwind or get in a consistent workout, this is a great way to enjoy nature, connect with fellow runners, and stay motivated throughout the spring and summer months.
Our Prospect Park group run is a steady-paced, welcoming run held every other Sunday. The parks main loop is just over 3 miles, so you’re welcome to do one lap or more, depending on your training goals. Sometimes, we mix it up and venture outside the park, running over the Brooklyn or Manhattan Bridge for a change of scenery. It’s a great way to train for NYRR races, log miles with a supportive group, and enjoy some of the best running routes in the city.
Running NYRR Races with DSNY Running Club
The DSNY Running Club is a recognized team under New York Road Runners (NYRR), meaning you can race under our name in NYRR events throughout the year. When signing up for an NYRR race, simply select DSNY Running Club as your team to represent us on race day.
Many of our members participate in NYRR’s 9+1 Program, which guarantees entry into the NYC Marathon by completing nine NYRR races and volunteering at one event within the calendar year.
Running with us not only helps you stay motivated but also connects you with teammates for training, race-day support, and community. Whether you’re tackling a 5K, half marathon, or working toward marathon qualification, we are here to run with you every step of the way!
Miles Mania is a free, club-wide challenge designed to keep you running and accountable through the winter months. Held at Ocean Breeze Athletic Complex on an indoor track, runners can choose to race a ½ mile, 1 mile, 2 miles or all three! The challenge kicks off the first week of January and continues every other Thursday at 7 PM until the end of March. Just sign up online and show up ready to run. Whether you’re training, building endurance, or just looking to stay active, Miles Mania is a great way to stay engaged and keep moving all winter long.
